09/30/2004: "Debate Results"

The first presidential debate ended earlier tonight, and most of the reaction I see claims that Kerry won by a smallish margin. For the record, I missed most of the debate.

I don't think we can judge the debate until facts are checked. It matters who's statements hold up; it also matters who's verbal missteps get coverage.

Andy B reports on Chicago Boyz that Intrade also shows that Kerry won by a smallish margin. I checked the intrade site's presidential politics pages, and found the movement less than definitive. Individual states are moving all around, and a Bush landside seems more likely.
